§ Mr. EadieIn commercial cost terms net expenditure by the UKAEA up to 31st March 1977 on research and development in direct support of the nuclear power programme is estimated at a little over £1,000 million. In addition, my Department has spent some £50 million in support of the tripartite centrifuge project for enriching uranium.
