Sir Bernard Brailleasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will designate that part of the A 13 east of Tarpots, Essex, as a trunk road; and whether ho will now take steps to expedite the improvements necessary in order to alleviate the growing traffic congestion.
§ Mr. HoramMy right hon. Friend has no plans to trunk this part of the A13, which carries predominantly local traffic. Responsibility for any improvements that may be necessary Therefore lies with Essex County Council.
