§ 36. Mr. Edward Gardnerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will introduce legislation to control the display of pornographic literature in places where it can be seen by children.

It falls within the terms of reference of the Committee on Obscenity and Film Censorship chaired by Professor Bernard Williams. The Government will consider, in the light of the committee's report, whether any amendment of the law would be appropriate.
