§ Mr. Arthur Lathamasked the Minister of Overseas Development when the Government expect the British overseas aid contribution to reach the United Nations target of 0.7 per cent. of gross national product.
§ Mr. TomlinsonI am anxious that we should make better progress towards the 0.7 per cent. target, but I cannot forecast when we shall reach it. We have announced an increase in next year's aid programme which should help to improve our performance.
