§ Mr. Corbettasked the Secretary of State for Trade what, in each of the last five years, were the total imports by volume and value of (a) finished coated board and (b) coated board in reel form from countries outside of the EEC and EFTA, listed by name; and what were 302W comparable imports from the EEC and EFTA countries within and in excess of quota arrangements.
§ Mr. MeacherThe overseas trade statistics do not distinguish between finished and unfinished paperboard or, with one exception, between reels and sheets. They also identify only a few kinds of coated paperboard. The extent of the available information is indicated under SITC(R) item 641.95 in the Guide to the Classification for Overseas Trade Statistics, copies of which are held in the House of Commons Library.
If my hon. Friend would care to indicate which of these import headings are of interest to him I should be pleased to say how they relate to any quota arrangements.
