§ Mr. Moonmanasked the Secretary of State for Wales if any grant or loan has been allocated by any European agency for the National Water Council for projects in Wales.
§ Mr. Alec JonesThe National Water Council has arranged loans from the European Investment Bank totalling £12.4 million for use by the Welsh National Water Development Authority to finance water and sewerage projects in South East Wales. Future loans of about £9 million are likely to be arranged in respect of projects elsewhere in Wales.
The Authority has also received grants from the European Regional Development Fund without the Council being involved.
