§ Mr. MaclennanThe order made on 16th August 1977 under Section 4 of the Prices Act requiring the price per pound to be indicated for virtually all fresh and frozen meat comes into operation on 1st March 1978. I welcome the more informative labelling that has already appeared in some shops; this is of particular help to consumers at a time of year when meat purchases are traditionally at a higher level. I appeal to those butchers who have not yet finalised their permanent plans for prices display to consider making arrangements to cover the Christmas period.
