Mr. Moonman

asked the Secretary of State for Industry if any grant or loan has been allocated by any European agency for a chemical plant on Teesside.

Mr. Cryer

In July 1976 the European Commission allocated a sum of £260,000 from the European Regional Development Fund towards the cost of the Government's regional aids to a chemical plant on Teesside.
