§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether the Government of the Irish Republic have made any approaches to him regarding the operation of the Criminal Law (Jurisdiction) Act and the possible prosecution of offenders under the Act who are now living in the Irish Republic.
§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many cases which have been submitted under the Criminal Law (Jurisdiction) Act, since the system came into force in both Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic, have been submitted in respect of offenders wanted for terrorist offences and who are now in the Irish Republic.
§ Mr. MasonProsecution under the extra-territorial legislation is a matter for the legal authorities in whose jurisdiction the suspect is located. I understand that no prosecution under the Criminal Law (Jurisdiction) Act has yet taken place.
