§ Mr. McElhoneOne major scheme to bypass Newton Stewart is under construction on the A75 at the present time. A contract for an improvement scheme at Shennanton will be awarded at the beginning of 1978. Two major improvement schemes are under construction on A76 at Auldgirth and Newbridge.
