asked the Secretary of State for Defence how much his Department spent on tyres in 1974, 1975 and 1976.

Excluding the value of tyres which form part of new vehicles, guns and aircraft the sums spent in the financial years ending 31st March 1975, 1976 and 1977 were £3,350,000, £3,821,000 and £3,752.000 respectively.
