§ Mr. Tierneyasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if he will take steps to ensure that the 25 per cent. reduction in the price of frozen chips forecast in the latest economic review of the Institute of Grocery Distribution is passed on promptly to retailers and consumers.
§ Mr. MaclennanRetail prices of frozen chips and other frozen potato products fell by about 20 per cent. on average between the second and third quarters of this year, and there is also evidence of further reductions subsequently. It therefore appears that the forecast reduction has been passed on.
