HC Deb 08 December 1977 vol 940 c823W
Mr. Cartwright

asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many beds are currently available for service use at Queen Elizabeth Military Hospital, Woolwich; and when he expects the hospital to be fully operational.

Mr. Robert C. Brown

The Queen Elizabeth Military Hospital has 371 equipped beds at present. These are all available for use by Service personnel and their entitled dependants although, in practice, some beds may be occupied by NHS patients undergoing treatment at the hospital on a fill-up basis. It is planned that the hospital will become fully operational in August 1978.
