HC Deb 08 December 1977 vol 940 c835W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is his estimate of the cost of insulating a modern four-apartment bungalow in Scotland.

Mr. Hugh D. Brown

Depending on the measures taken, between £75 and £250.

Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the total living space in the average new four-apartment, three-apartment and two-apartment local authority and Scottish Special Housing Association house, respectively.

Mr. Hugh D. Brown

The average total floor areas of local authority houses by size is given in Table 27 of "Housing and Construction Statistics", published by Her Majesty's Stationery Office. Corresponding information for houses belonging to the Scottish Special Housing Association is available from the Association.

Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish figures showing public sector, private sector and total house building completions in Scotland in each year since 1969; and if he will give his estimate for the next two years.

Mr. Hugh D. Brown

I would refer the hon. Member to the Housing Return for Scotland. Forecasts are not available.
