HC Deb 08 December 1977 vol 940 c828W
Mr. Ashley

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when she set up the group to study the one-year sixth form examination recommended to her Department by the Schools Council 18 months ago; who are the members of the group; if there is a representative of the Association of Principals of Sixth Form Colleges; and, if not, whether she will appoint one.

Miss Margaret Jackson

My right hon. Friend announced on 4th November— [Vol. 938, c. l75]—her intention to set up a group to study the Schools Council proposals for a Certificate of Extended Education and other courses, and is considering the possible membership. Members will be appointed in an individual capacity but will include persons with appropriate experience in schools and further education.
