Mr. McCusker

asked the Secretary of State for Defence (1) what was the amount spent on advertising in the Belfast Telegraph, Belfast Newsletter and Irish News on recruitment to the Army, excluding the Ulster Defence Regiment, the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force each year since 1970; and what was the response each year to each newspaper campaign in terms of replies and conversions;

(2) what was the amount spent on advertising in the Belfast Telegraph, Belfast Newsletter and Irish News on Ulster Defence Regiment recruitment in each year since its formation; and what was the response each year to each newspaper campaign in terms of replies and conversions:

(3) what was the amount spent on advertising in the Belfast Telegraph, Belfast Newsletter and Irish News on Territorial Army Volunteer Reserve recruitment in each year since 1970; and what was the response each year to each newspaper campaign in terms of replies and conversions.
