§ 57. Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will make a statement on the import of textiles into the United Kingdom from Hong Kong.
§ Mr. MeacherUnited Kingdom imports of textiles from Hong Kong up to the end of the year are covered by a bilateral agreement between Hong Kong and the EEC under the Multi-Fibre Arrangement. The present agreement expires on 31st December and quotas for incorporation in a new agreement have been agreed between Hong Kong and the European Commission.
