§ Mr. MoyleThe Northamptonshire Area Health Authority has a contractual arrangement to maintain up to 50 inpatients at St. Andrew's Hospital. The current charge at the hospital is £82.81 per in-patient week. Most of the National Health Service patients at the hospital are long-stay, and the AHA has had medical notice that it would be undesirable to remove them. The AHA considers that the contractual beds at St. Andrew's makes an essential contribution 741W to the facilities for NHS treatment of the mentally ill.
