§ Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is the programme of work envisaged for 1978 and 1979 in the Energy Research Support Unit at the Rutherford Laboratory.
§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsI understand that three projects on energy utilisation and conservation in houses and schools and one on applications of chemical heat pump and energy storage systems at present supported by the Energy Research Support Unit are expected to continue through 1978 and 1979. In addition, the unit will assist university and polytechnic staff in preliminary technical work on new research proposals and provide the secretariat of the Science Research Council's Energy Proposals Committee.
