§ Mr. Hoosonasked the Attorney-General how many requests have been put to him asking for permission to bring proceedings for incitement to racial hatred under Section 70(5) of the Race Relations Act 1976; and in how many cases he has given permission for proceedings to be brought.
§ The Attorney-GeneralI have given my consent in one case. Many requests have been made to me and in appropriate cases where there is a prima facie case of incitement I have referred them to the police. The Director of Public Prosecu lions will report to me when the inquiries are completed.
