§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer why he will not move to appoint a Select Committee to investigate the possibility of establishing a fair and equitable wages and incomes policy covering all sections of the population, bearing in mind such factors as the type of work, its use to the community, its dangers and unsocial aspects and the need for differentials in each type of employment.
