§ The Prime MinisterMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection is responsible for prices policy and for consumer affairs, including fair trading, consumer safety, consumer credit, quality assurance and standards and weights and measures. He is also responsible for policy on monopolies, mergers and restrictive practices.
