§ Mr. EadieI am informed by the National Coal Board that its figures for land holdings are prepared annually and that the latest date for which this information is available is 27th March 1976. At that time the Board and its subsidiaries owned in total about 49,000 acres of land in Scotland. The total acreage comprises land of all kinds—i.e., colliery and other operational sites, agricultural land, disused collieries and waste heaps, woodland, etc.
