Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland that no up-to-date estimate is available for Scotland, where the number of controlled tenancies is very small.

Since 1969 more than 550,000 formerly controlled tenancies have been converted to regulation. From 14th August 1974 rent regulation was extended to furnished tenancies with non-resident landlords.
