HC Deb 26 April 1977 vol 930 cc278-9W
Mr. Sproat

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what British representation there is at the latest talks between the EEC and the USSR on working out an agreement for vessels to fish within the 200-mile limit; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Bishop

Representatives of the Fisheries Departments and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office are present during negotiations with the USSR and, together with representatives of other member States, advise the Commission on the conduct of those negotiations. Progress has been made towards the conclusion of a framework fisheries agreement.
