§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Trade why progress made in negotiations relating to the proposed EEC directive on the activities of commercial agents has not advanced further.
§ Mr. MeacherThe Commission sent this proposal for a directive to the Council on 17th December 1976. Consultation of the European Parliament and the Economic and Social Committee is mandatory and is in progress. The Council is expected to remit the proposal for consideration by a working group.
