HC Deb 25 April 1977 vol 930 cc260-1W
Mr. Patrick Jenkin

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether free medical treatment under the Reciprocal Health Co-operation Agreement between Great Britain and the German Democratic Republic is available to people who are self-employed.

Mr. Ennals

The agreement applies equally to the self-employed as to the employed or non-employed. It provides for immediate treatment for temporary visitors to the other country subject to charges normally paid in that country.
