§ Mr. Kilroy-Silkasked the Secretary of State for Employment what progress he has made in devising alternative employment schemes for the town of Kirkby in the event of the closure of the Plessey factory.
§ Mr. GoldingMy Department is in close touch with the Department of Industry and the company about the situation at the Plessey factory at Kirkby. If, in the event, the factory should close all the facilities of the Manpower Services Commission will be available to help.
