HC Deb 25 April 1977 vol 930 cc250-1W
Mr. Lomas

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the procedure for obtaining supplies of incontinency pads for stroke patients being looked after at home.

Mr. Moyle

Such patients may obtain supplies through the area health authority or the local authority social services department, depending upon local arrangements. Area health authorities have no powers to charge for supplies of incontinence pads. Where supply is through the local authority a charge may be made.
