§ Mr. CryerThe measures in mind are intended to establish an internationally competitive manufacturing industry which offers the only prospect of long-term security of employment. As I said in my answer to the hon. Member on 19th April, my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Industry expects to be in a position to announce proposals for action shortly.
