HC Deb 21 April 1977 vol 930 c125W
Mr. Craigen

asked the Lord President of the Council what comments he has now received on the recommendations contained in the Houghton Report on State Aid for Political Parties; and what proposals he has in mind regarding the report's conclusions.

Mr. Foot

There has been widespread public comment on this report, and a number of hon. Members have let me know their views. The Government are still considering what recommendations to make to the House.
