§ Mr. Gourlayasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will state the number of expectant mothers in Fife who in the year ended 31st March 1977 have been tested to ascertain whether their babies would be the victims of spina bifida or mongolism.
§ Mr. Harry EwingFife is within the area covered by two screening research projects, and in the course of these projects 2,893 expectant mothers in Fife were tested for spina bifida and 49 for mongolism in the year in question.
