Dr. Edmund Marshallasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will seek to amend legislation so that domestic ratepayers whose premises are without sewerage become liable for the general sewerage charges levied by water authorities and are exempted from all other charges by public authorities for the collection and disposal of sewage.
§ Mr. MarksThe consultative document on the review of the water industry raised the question of responsibility for cesspools. A White Paper will be published later in the spring setting out the Government's intentions.
