§ Mr. Cormackasked the Secretary of State for Transport whether, in the light of the Secretary of State for the Environment's announcement of the new and greatly reduced growth target for Telford New Town and in view of the continued necessity to contain public expenditure, he will now abandon proposals to link Telford and the M6 by a motorway and concentrate his resources on progressively improving the A5 between these two points.
