§ Mr. Lomasasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) how many horses or ponies were shipped alive for slaughter on the Continent in each year from 1964 to the latest available date;
(2) if he is satisfied with the method in which horses and ponies are shipped alive for slaughter to the Continent;
(3) if he is satisfied that the horses and ponies shipped alive for slaughter on the Continent are provided with adequate food and water during the voyage.
§ Mr. StrangThe export of horses or ponies to the Continent for slaughter is not permitted and there is no evidence that such exports have taken place.
