§ The Solicitor-GeneralInformation on the time intervals between the successive stages of actions in the courts is not collected on a routine basis. However, a recent survey carried out at a sample of London county courts indicates that the average time taken between the issue of an application for recovery of possession under Order 26 of the County Court Rules 1936 (summary proceedings for the recovery of land or rent) by a local authority and an order being made is about 23 days.
