§ Mr. GoldingAt 10th March 1977, 14,770 people were registered as unemployed in Cornwall. This represented a rate of unemployment of 11.4 per cent. The Western Isles area of Scotland, which is regarded as a county for administrative purposes, was the only 45W county with a higher percentage rate of unemployment.
