§ Mr. Biffenasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will make a statement on the extent to which the proposed nationalisation of Vosper Thornycroft Limited will include activities other than shipbuilding.
§ Mr. Les HuckfieldUnder the provisions of the Aircraft and Shipbuilding Industries Act 1977 the interests owned on 31st July 1974 by the company known on that date by the name Vosper Thornycroft Limited will come into public ownership under British Shipbuilders. These interests included shiprepairing, engineering products manufacturing and training as well as shipbuilding.
