Mr. Adley

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what percentage of unemployed people in the catering industry are skilled and qualified people.

Mr. Golding

I regret that the information is not available. In February 1977 there were 77,838 persons registered as unemployed in Great Britain who last worked in the hotel and catering industries, but analyses are not compiled combining the industry in which the employee last worked with his or her occupation.
