§ Dr. SummerskillSince I answered the hon. Gentleman's earlier Question on this subject on 20th December—[Vol. 923, c. 54–2.]—we have received no proposals from local authorities for new byelaws to prohibit spitting in public places. From information immediately available to me, it appears that such byelaws are in force in the following London boroughs:
- Barnet.
- Bexley.
- Brent.
- Ealing.
- Enfield.
- Haringey.
- Hounslow.
- Kingston upon Thames
- Merton.
- Newham.
- Waltham Forest.
- Westminster.
