§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many persons are currently being trained for the SRN and SEN nursing qualifications at present; and how these figures compare with those of three years ago.
§ Mr. DeakinsOn 30th September 1973 there were 53,899 persons in training for admission to the Register of Nurses and 24,077 for admission to the roll in the NHS England and Wales. Figures for 30th September 1976 are not yet available, but I will write to the hon. Member as soon as they are.
