§ Mr. Patrick Jenkinasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what consultations he has had with staff associations and trade unions represented on the Nurses and Midwives Whitley Council about EEC directives affecting nurses and midwives.
§ Mr. EnnalsMy Department has consulted with the statutory and professional nursing and midwifery bodies throughout the EEC negotiations on draft directives, 495W and will continue to do so. It has also discussed the draft nursing directives on two occasions with the organisations represented on the Staff Side of the Whitley Council.
