§ Mr. CryerThe Government recognise the importance and potential for growth of the data-processing industry. My Department, by means of its various support schemes, and the NEB, through its holdings in ICL and otherwise, seek to strengthen the industry further and enhance its contribution to the balance of payments. The sector working party under the NEDC will provide guidance to this end.
