asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether retired male Civil Servants are able to draw unemployment benefit from retirement until they reach 65 years of age.

Lord WELLS-PESTELL

A retired male civil servant who satisfies all the conditions for the receipt of unemployment benefit, including the requirement of being available for work, can draw the benefit at any age up to 65. Entitlement to unemployment benefit is however limited to 312 days in any one period of interruption of employment.
