asked the Secretary of State for Defence (1) what is the current level of arms sales to Malawi;

(2) what plans he has for negotiating further arms sales to the Government of Kenya;

(3) what is the current level of arms sales to the Government of Kenya;

(4) what is the current level of arms sales to the Government of Tanzania.

It has been the practice of successive Governments not to give details of sales of defence equipment to individual Governments. Each case is considered against the relevant political, financial, economic and security factors
