§ Mr. MoyleThe reductions in public expenditure arising from the measures announced by my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer last July did not require a reduction in the current expenditure on hospital and community health services. The estimated reduction in capital expenditure in England for these services is 30 pence per head in 1977–8. The total reduction will be one124W of the factors to be taken into account when the 1977–8 funds are allocated to the health authorities; meanwhile it is not possible to give a comparative breakdown by region and area.
