§ Mr. Merlyn ReesThe Czech Refugee Trust Fund was set up in July 1939 to help in the resettlement of Czech refugees from the Sudetenland. I should like to pay tribute to the dedication with which all those associated with the trust have, over the years, carried on its work. With the passage of time, however, its work has come to an end and I have exercised my powers formally to wind it up.
The remaining balance of the trust fund will be paid into the Consolidated Fund. I shall be prepared to consider on an ex gratia basis any contingent claims on the trust and trustees.
