The Keidanren representatives agreed to study what Japan18W could do about this and other difficulties faced by United Kingdom exporters to Japan and to report back to the CBI.
§ Mr. Rookerasked the Secretary of Stale for Trade if he will make a statement on progress made towards his objective of equalising tariff rates on titanium within the GATT negotiations.
§ Mr. Clinton DavisThe European Economic Community has proposed a formula for reducing tariffs which would effect a substantial degree of harmonisation. Discussions on this and other proposals are at present taking place.
