§ Mr. Guy BarnettThe formula is prescribed in the Gas Hereditaments (Rateable Values) Order 1976 (S.I., 1976 No. 490). I regret that in preparing the order the existence of the Gas Boards (Rateable Values) Order 1972 (S.I., 1972, No. 1794) was overlooked, and I am advised that as a result the total rateable value works out at about £150 million instead of the £60 million which was intended and which appears in the valuation lists. Legislation will be introduced as soon as possible to correct this error with effect from 1st April 1976.
