§ Mr. MoyleIn general, private nursing homes' charges for treatment and accommodation are matters to be decided by private agreement between the patient and526W the nursing home. However, private nursing homes regarded as concentrating on abortion have been required since 1975 to satisfy my Department that the range of total costs—including doctors' fees—incurred by patients treated for termination of pregnancy on their premises are not unreasonable. Once my right hon. Friend is so satisfied, proprietors of these nursing homes are required to seek his approval to any proposed changes in these costs.
